Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital held a ‘Core Value Declaration Ceremony’ at the Ilsong Cultural Hall of the hospital on January 3rd. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 faculty members and staff including Director Kyung Ho Yu of the hospital, Chief Medical Officer Jun Goo Kang, Chief Administrative Officer Seung Dae Lee and Director Jungeun Shim of Nursing Department.
Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital collected opinions from faculty members, nurses and administrators through an idea contest on core values last month. As a result, 4 core values were selected such as ‘The best care based on the heart for patients, ‘Trusted hospital,’ ‘Innovation and growth’ and ‘Communication and cooperation.’
In 2022, Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital expanded high-level medical procedures at the Cardiovascular Center, Arrhythmia Center, and ECMO Center. Also, the hospital established Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Center to strengthen treatment services focused on severe diseases.
In particular, the hospital has established the nation's best data infrastructure in the field of medical data. Based on this, the hospital is successfully carrying out large-scale national projects that apply various digital healthcare solutions and medical service robots to actual clinical practice.
“In 2023, we will use digital innovation as the foundation for hospital development to provide specialized medical services for patients with severe disease,” said Kyung Ho Yu, director of the hospital. He added, “Based on the 4 core values, we will lead the future medical field by making medical innovation and provide an opportunity to leap forward as a patient-centered hospital.”
Meanwhile, after the core value declaration ceremony, an award ceremony was held for hospital staffs who are dedicated to the hospital in 2022. A total of 26 members received commendations and awards, including the Minister of Health and Welfare's commendation for medical information exchange project and the Mayor of Uiwang's commendation for vitalization of career education.
