Dr. Keun-Young Lee lectures on cervical incompetence at Jilin Univ. Hospital, China

Dr. Keun-Young Lee, professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital visited the Second Clinical Hospital of Jilin University, China, from January 12 to 15 to perform live surgery and deliver a lecture on cervical incompetence.


Dr. Lee is a noted authority on high-risk pregnancy and prematurity. He is specialized in helping pregnant women with cervical incompetence to maintain pregnancy by performing emergency cervical cerclage. Cervical incompetence is a medical condition that a pregnant woman’s cervix begins to open before her pregnancy has reached term.


The Second Clinical Hospital of Jilin University officials asked Dr. Lee to give more lectures in China and educate Chinese doctors at Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital.


Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and the Jilin University Hospital signed an affiliation agreement on academic collaboration and clinical training in Dec, 2014.
