Kangnam welcomes leadership of the Second Clinical Hospital of Jilin University

Delegation of the Second Clinical Hospital of Jilin University in China visited Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and discussed ways to start various exchange programs including clinical training from Nov. 6 to 9, 2014.
The 12-member Chinese delegation led by the Director of the hospital, four orthopedic surgeons, four gynecologists, and a nursing director met with the leadership of Hallym University of Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital on the first day, Nov. 6, 2014.
Followed by welcome address of Dr. Yul Lee, director of Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, leadership of both hospitals shared opinions on academic exchanges including training and education for doctors. The Chinese delegation took a look at the hospital facilities including emergency medical center, intensive care units, outpatient wards of radiology, orthopedic surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology.
On the 2nd day of visit, the delegation observed da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and observed a live shoulder surgery performed by Dr. Kyu Cheol Noh of Orthopedic Surgery.
The delegation also visited Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital and met with Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, president of Hallym University Medical Center.
The leadership of Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital is scheduled to visit the Chinese counterpart and sign an affiliation agreement after finalizing the scope of exchange.
Founded in 1946, Jilin University runs three university hospitals and operates a combined 7,000 patient beds in the facilities.
