Kangnam’s medical professionals explain their jobs to middle school students

Dr. Jacob Lee of Infectious Diseases and Unit Manger Mi Hwa Shim of Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital visited Dadbang Middle School on July 11, 2014, to give lectures on “what is it like to be medical professionals” at the school’s Career Search Day.
At the Career Search Day event, 35 parents participated as honorary teachers and shared their professional experiences as a doctor, a soldier, a policeman, an accountant, a pharmacist, a journalist, a pilot and an artist.
Dr. Lee and Ms. Shim introduced about living as a doctor and a nurse to first and second year students and answered their questions at the school’s science room.
The “Career Search Day” is run by elementary, middle and high schools in Korea to help students to understand jobs and find their own career potentials by meeting professionals in various areas.
