Hallym University delegation visited University of Padova in Italy to discuss details for amplifying future academic cooperation from Jan. 23 to Jan. 24, 2014
The four-member delegation led by Dr. Yong-Sun Kim, Executive Vice President for Health & Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Dong Joon Kim of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr. Myoung Kuk Jang of Internal Medicine and Dr. Eun-Kyoung Choi of Cellular Aging and Neurobiology at Ilsong Institute of Life Science met with Padova professors.
Thanks to Padova’s arrangement, the delegation had an opportunity to observe the Italian university’s laboratories.
Dr. Ohk Hyun Ryu of Endocrinology and Metabolism, who is currently at Padova for research training under guidance of Dr. Franco Mantero, also participated in the meeting.
Hallym and Padova professors agreed on the need to take necessary steps to take academic collaboration to next level.
Since Hallym and Padova signed an affiliation agreement in 2010, they have collaborated on a series of annual international symposiums to deal with a wide range of medical issues such as “Molecular Mechanisms of Neurodegenerative Diseases,” and “New Insights in Translational Neuroscience and Modern Medicine.”
