Hallym University Medical Center hosted the 5th Hallym-Uppsala International Symposium under the theme, “Advances in Imaging: From Basic to Clinical Practice” at the Hanmaeum Hall in Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital on September 19, 2012.
Professor Nils Clas Linnman of anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and Professor Seok Woo Kim of the spine center at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital shared their opinions on the future research and clinical applications of pain imaging.
They discussed their remarkable results associated with visualization, and quantification for pain using PET imaging, and DTI (Diffusion Tensor Image) study which analyze the movement of water molecule in the spinal cords.
