Hallym, Uppsala Experts to Discuss Biomarkers in Sweden

The 4th Hallym-Uppsala International Symposium will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Rudbeck Laboratory of Uppsala University, Sweden. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Biomarkers: From Bench to Clinic.”
A seven-member Hallym medical delegation headed by Dr. Dai-Won Yoon, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ilsong Educational Foundation will visit Sweden for the symposium. Among the delegates include Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, President of Hallym University Medical Center, and Dr. Yong-Sun Kim, Executive Vice President of Health and Biomedical Sciences of Hallym University.
Since 2008, the two institutions have collaborated on a series of annual symposiums to address the latest issues in medicine and surgery. In addition to this, Dr. Anders Hallberg, President of Uppsala University and Dr. Kjell Oberg, Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Medicine visited Hallym in 2008 and 2010. Meeting Hallym members, they agreed to further solidify the bilateral cooperation on basic and clinical medicine by sharing extensive knowledge and expertise.
