Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital

Prof. Yong-Chan Kim of the Spine Center at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital received a scientific award from the Korean Society of Spine Surgery(KSSS) on May 28, 2010.

Dr. Kim was honored for his paper, “Epidemiology of Korean Spinal Injury Patients” in which he succeeded in identifying an overall mechanism, a pattern and treatment for a spinal cord injury to prove the ambiguity of diagnosis and treatment standards because there has not yet been accurate epidemiology of Koreans with spinal injuries.

Dr. Kim has been playing a key role in his capacity as a director of the Korean Society of Spinal Injury since March 1, 2010.
