Local Residents Observe 1st Digestive System Day

An event to mark the first Digestive System Day was held at the annex auditorium at Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital on July 16. The event, which was joined by about 250 local residents, was aimed at providing medical information on digestive diseases.
Professors of gastroenterology and hepatololgy gave lectures on digestive diseases. Dr. Gwang-Ho Baik spoke on ‘Why Is the Helicobacter So Dangerous?’ and Dr. Sung-Jung Kim dealt with ‘Endoscopy for a stomach cancer surgery.’ Their lectures were followed by a laughter therapy and a prize lottery
Dr. Dong-Jun Kim of gastroenterology and hepatololgy said, “By celebrating the event with local residents, we could shared a spiritual affinity with them, will be able to fulfill our mission as a university hospital for the benefit of the community.”
