The Scientific Research Committee of Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital organized "2009 Symposium on English for Meetings" at the Hanmaeum Hall on July 4, 2009.
Some 100 medical professionals who have worked for Hallym University Medical Center attended the conference. And Ho-Yul Lee, director of the Int'l Operations Team of HUMC and an author of "English for Meetings," gave a lecture on "English for Meetings and Discussions and Expressions for Chairpersons."
"I am very delighted to have this opportunity to share some of English experts' experiences. I am certain that to all of you including doctors, nurses, administrations who are working for the hospital, a command of the English language is a must to compete with others in the era of globalization. So I will endeavor to provide you with this chance again to learn advanced English," Dr. Hyung-Jik Kim, committee chairman, said in his opening remarks.
