Dr. Yon-Sik Yoo, associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, received a John Joyce Award for his paper on "Biomechanics of Arthroscopic Double Bundle Coracoclavicular Ligament Reconstruction with Short-term Clinical Results" at the 7th Biennial ISAKOS Congress in Osaka, Japan on April 9, 2009. Among as many as 300 papers, Dr. Yoo's paper topped the list in the field of shoulder joint.
The John Joyce Award is a prestigious award presented by the International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) for outstanding scientific research and presentations. The 2007 ISAKOS Congress was attended by more than 2,800 medical professionals from 82 countries.
