The Department of Neurosurgery offers treatment to all diseases occurring in the brain and spine that are the most important parts of the body. We especially deal with stroke, brain tumor, spinal disease, trauma, epilepsy, dyskinesia, and congenital malformation. As the nervous system is a very complex organ and controls body function, minor damage can cause fatal aftereffects and permanent dysfunction. Therefore, various clinical experiences, medical knowledge, and delicate surgical techniques are highly required for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
We also provide our patients with the most specialized and systemized care. Our medical staff with extensive knowledge and clinical experience use state-of-the-art medical equipment such as the newest MRI, neuro-navigation, and surgical microscopes to treat our patients.
The department is divided into cerebrovascular neurosurgery and spinal neurosurgery sections. The cerebrovascular neurosurgery section cares patients with stroke, cerebral aneurysm, brain tumor, cranial disease, endovascular surgery, and brain damage. We are showing excellent results in cerebrovascular surgeries for cerebral aneurysm and cerebral arteriovenous malformation and vascular surgeries, actively performing brain tumor surgery.
The spinal neurosurgery section treats diseases that occur in all parts of the spine including lumbar disc, cervical disc, spinal cord tumor, and spinal cord injury. We have very good surgical results and perform the largest number of surgeries in the department. We are highly committed to solving fundamental questions such as the way to understand and approach spinal diseases, as well as surgical methods and the timing for patients.
